Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy - for dissecting biochemical pathways

Confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) is a novel tool in optical imaging for obtaining in depth high resolution images. Hence, by optical sectioning, Images are reconstructed with software shortly after the synchronous imaging of complex, non opaque or opaque objects of interest. histology and histocytochemistry helps us to delineate and identify the functional localization of enzymes or structures of interest and to trace in real time their activity within a confined space.
