A bladder neck sling is an effective method for the treatment of recalcitrant or severe stress urinary incontinence. With this method it is possible to perform the surgery as an outpatient and not leave a Foley catheter in similar to what can be done with midurethral slings. Our success rate for control of stress incontinence is greater than 86 percent now with a range of follow-up from 6 to 11 years.
