12th National Congress of the Belgian Society for Neuroscience

The 12^th national congress of the BSN will be held on Monday May 22nd 2017 at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Ghent and will feature world-class keynote and invited speakers and a selection of oral contributions from those submitted for consideration. A poster session will also take place during the meeting.

The program

The 2017 scientific BSN meeting will include invited keynote lectures (45 min) by two international speakers 

• Prof. Dr. Harald Sontheimer, Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute
• Prof. Dr. Carl Petersen, Brain Mind Institute, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland

and invited talks (30 min) by four young talented scientists active in Belgium

• Prof. Dr. Patrick Verstreken, VIB Center for the Biology of Disease and KULeuven
• Prof. Dr. Patrick Laurent, UNI, ULB Neuroscience Institute
• Prof. Dr. Laurent Nguyen, Giga-Neurosciences - University of Liege
• Prof. Dr. Ruth Krebs, Department of Experimental Psychology, Ghent University

Additionally, nine PhD students or junior postdoc fellows will be selected on a competitive basis among the participants and invited to orally present (15 min) their contributions to the meeting.
